Pioneer Park Neighborhood Association (PPNA) is a group of neighbors who were recognized in 2007 by the City of Des Moines as one of 56 neighborhood associations in the city. Our membership is made up of neighbors who, just like you, want the best for the safety and welfare of our family. Neighborhood Associations give each of us a louder voice with elected officials and the city departments that maintain our police and fire safety, parks, streets, housing inspection and many more.
Our meetings are held on the third Wednesday of January, April, July, and October.
Meetings are held at the Hy Vee Market Grill, 3221 SE 14th St, Des Moines, IA. Regular meetings start at 6:30PM. We do not have any dues or fees for membership, but must live in our area boundaries.
Our main purpose is to improve the communication within the neighborhood and to help improve the area including our homes. Our meetings have a ton of information about programs and with our neighborhood Police Officer, Sergeant Doua Lor, helps us keep crime under control.
